We are moving!

Yes, I know...I've been extremely slack with updating our blog lately! And, a lot of very exciting things have happened. I am convinced July & August will always be exciting months for the Tingens!

Last July, we were just a few weeks out from our wedding, we had our bachelor/bachelorette parties, and we painted/fixed up (I had to take the 'bachelor' feel out of it) our new 'home' together on College Avenue...and, in August, we were married!!! I can't believe it has almost been a year. My goodness, time flies! It's been the best year of my life!

This July, we sold our house on College Avenue (which happened within 5 days of mentioning it was for sale, without a sign in the yard) and three days after we sold ours, we bought a new house in Club Colony. We are so excited!!! Don't get me wrong, I love our house on College...it will always be our first house together as husband and wife, but I am so happy about our new home. I now have lots of storage and two bathrooms!!! Our new house is on the golf course, which Joseph is thrilled about! We move in two weeks! Ahhh! So much packing to do...

I will post pictures of our new house just as soon as I can take some!

Okay, so now I have more exciting news...Tom (my brother) and Sara are engaged!!! He gave her a diamond on July 2nd. It was such an exciting night! He planned for everyone to be at her mom's house and she had no clue. Her dad flew in from Montana on Wednesday night, my parents drove in on Thursday afternoon, and Joseph and I hurried down right after work on Thursday. It was a perfect night and they are both so happy!

Honestly, who would have thought that all three of the Gore children would have been married within 18 months (Tom and Sara said they were thinking February...not sure though, maybe March) or 19...I was married in August, McCrae got married in April to a fabulous girl---Stacey, who keeps McCrae straight, and now Tom will be married sometime in the next few months! And, being the youngest of the three, I was the first to be married!!! Crazy how things work out! What an amazing year it has been for our family...maybe next July or August Joseph and I will have more exciting news!!! Who knows!

Here are a few pictures from this past weekend. Friday night, we had wine @ 5 at my house (Erin & I have made quite the tradition out of wine @ 5) and then, we headed out for a good time! Saturday, we sat by the pool and then grilled burgers for dinner. It was great! And, Brittain was even in town from Dallas...it's always so good to see her! :)

Time flies when you're having fun!

The husband and I have been discussing places we would like to go for our one year anniversary--there is talk of Asheville, Savannah, Fripp Island (his favorite place!), and he also suggested Vegas--typical! Well all but Vegas are still in the running...

I seriously can't believe it has almost been a year since we said, 'I Do!' It seems like just yesterday we started dating, and that's been about 6 years ago...wow! We have had so much fun together over the past 6 years, and I can't wait to see what all the future holds for us.

I never posted the pictures from our honeymoon, so here a couple of them (my 2 favorites). Enjoy!

BTW: We forgot our camera on our trip, so we had to buy the ones that the resort took of us. I was really shocked at how well the pictures turned out--but, goodness!--They will charge you an arm and a leg to get them on a CD...not even print them out for you...just a CD w/ the pics! But, I am very happy that we bought them!

This was at the 'swim-up' bar! Our favorite place in Jamaica!

It brought back memories...

Since we just went on Wendi's bachelorette, I thought I would post some pictures from mine (better late than never...)! My goodness! I can't believe it has almost been
10 months since we went on my bachelorette weekend.
I guess what they say is true...'time flies when you're having fun.'
The weekend was a blast! There was lots of laughs, late night talks, red wine, games, food, and many-many 'do you remember when?' stories. I was in much need of this weekend with all the wedding craziness going on. I was able to relax, catch up on some sleep (well, not much...), and enjoy my weekend away with my girlfriends!

We went to UM's (Jordan's Uncle Mike) house in Sunset Beach over the 4th of July.
Here are some pictures...enjoy!

I wanted to go to Ocean Drive on the night we had the limo take us out...so, we did. We were the youngest in the bar by at least 15 years! But, it was so much fun. I even shagged with an 84 year old man! He was good too--I could hardly keep up.

The picture above is of all the girls at Victoria's...this tiny little bar (similar to a Mac's) in Ocean Isle. We don't remember what her name is, but the woman on the far left was in love with Wendi, and followed her around all night...(see where Wendi is hiding...)!

It was one of the best weekends ever!
And, might I add that it was with the greatest group of friends ever!

A Wonderful Weekend with Wendi!

Last weekend, we went to Brooke's lake house in Wateree for Wendi's Bachelorette Bash We had a wonderful time! We sat around the house on Thursday night and just took it easy...well, that was the plan. The first night is always so much fun because everyone is so excited to be there and to see each other...needless to say, we had a large time Thursday night! It was Brooke, Wendi, Blaire, Alison, Jill, me, and our international traveling friends even made it. Jordan and Erin landed in Myrtle Beach at 10 pm Thursday night after their trip to St. John, and they drove straight to the lake to stay for a couple of nights. That's what I call dedication to the bride, and of course, to a good time!

Wendi gave each of the bridesmaids one of these wine glasses. I think we all got good use out of them from just one weekend!

Friday, we took the boat out and just hung out around the house. There were more friends coming in on Friday and we were going out in Columbia that night. It was so much fun getting Wendi ready for her 'Last Fling Before Wedding Bells Ring...' I believe she had a blast! Brooke and Jordan went into town to get a few things while we entertained the bride. The house looked great with all the 'bachelorette' decorations. I even took my Easter tree to decorate with; however, there were no eggs on it--just cute panties!

Here are some pictures from our night out in Columbia!

The veil! Brooke did a fabulous job! Notice the pictures of Beau & Wendi... :)

And, here's Beau's Bride! Did she look cute, or what?

Watching the slide show...

All the girls!

The bride and her classic dance moves!

My favorite! This picture is so 'Wendi'!

So much fun!

On the way back to the lake house--trust me...the night was far from over!

I think she had a good time...

In fact, I think we all had a great time! Some of us got a little nap in on the way home, so we would be ready to rock and roll when we got back!

What a wonderful weekend with Wendi! So happy for the soon-to-be Sutherlin's!
